The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) has released the program for the 2022 International Conference on Sustainability and the Cold Chain.
Being held virtually from April 11–13, the conference will explore cold chain innovation, along with developments in refrigeration technology and design.
The program features more than 50 presentations and three keynote speakers, including James Curlin (Head of Ozon Action at UNEP), Steve Cowperthwaithe of Defra, and Elizabeth Warham from the Department for International Trade.
The main session themes cover:
- Innovation in the cold chain
- Retail refrigeration, technology development and design
- Building a sustainable cold chain in developing nations.
The conference will also include a mix of live talks, Q&A with speakers, hosted discussion meetings and networking throughout. The Institute of Refrigeration is introducing the networking platform Gather.town to allow attendees to interact with fellow delegates.
Delegates will have the chance to access an online library of presentations until December 31, 2022.
