Green Building Day is returning to in-person events for 2021 with Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney all hosting days of sharing knowledge and expertise on Green Star projects.

Green Building Day is an annual event held across four cities nationally. It celebrates all things Green Star and explores the strategy areas of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) through real-life Green Star case study examples.

“With the World Green Building Council’s vision to cut embodied carbon emissions in buildings by 40 per cent by 2030 and achieve 100 per cent net zero emissions by 2050, Green Building Day will explore what Australia is doing to realise these goals,” says the GBCA.

The events will feature experts from the GPT Group discussing their commitment and leadership in reducing carbon emissions. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in an embodied carbon discussion, where panelists in each city will discuss what radical transitions the industry needs to make to reduce upfront emissions in building and construction.

“Our senior leadership team is coming to each event,” says the GBCA. “So join us for the opportunity to reconnect in person with your peers and industry.”
