Prof. Dr Hartwig Künzel from the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany is holding an introductory session about WUFI. WUFI is an acronym for Wärme Und Feuchte Instationär, which means heat and moisture transiency when translated.
Prof. Dr Künzel is holding the event to demonstrate how WUFI works as a moisture management tool. It is a family of software products that allows realistic calculation of the transient coupled one- and two-dimensional heat and moisture transport in walls and other multi-layer building components exposed to natural weather. The software uses the latest findings regarding vapour diffusion and moisture transport in building materials.
The session will be held on Thursday, August 29 at Wood & Grieve Engineers, Level 22, 570 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
