AIRAH Awards 2023: Nona named student of the year

NT-based RAC technician Freddie Nona, Stud.AIRAH, has been selected as Student of the Year – Trade at the AIRAH Awards 2023.

The award is given to an outstanding student at any level in the HVAC&R industry’s trade sector. Nominations can only be made by a third party, and the nominated individual must be an AIRAH member.

According to his supervisors, Freddie Nona, Stud.AIRAH, has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth throughout his time at Darwin’s Australian Air-conditioning and Mechanical Services.

“He has displayed a commendable work ethic, outstanding technical skills, and a remarkable ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic and challenging environment,” says the business’ Service Supervisor Joshua Derrington. “His enthusiasm and dedication to excellence are truly commendable. I am confident that he is an exceptional candidate who deserves this prestigious recognition, and who is a bright light for the Indigenous community.”
