Wilo has developed a new smart pump which it says sets new standards in connectivity to building management and bus systems.

According to Wilo, the Stratos MAXO is ideal for easy integration into automated large buildings.

“Thanks to analogue and digital interfaces, planners and operators can easily and flexibly integrate the pump into different applications such as heating, air conditioning, ventilation or drinking water systems,” the company says.

“Using its Bluetooth interface, the circulator pump can be connected directly to mobile end devices and thus be set and commissioned even in difficult-to-reach environments.”

According to Wilo, different interface modules for retrofitting further increase the variety of possible applications.

“New CIF modules for BACnet IP or Modbus TCP also allow easy integration of the pump into existing bus systems,” says the company.

“A special highlight of the Wilo-Stratos MAXO is its intuitive operation. Users can easily operate the green button – the central control element on the front of the housing – with just one hand. The application-guided settings wizard is intuitive to understand and offers numerous control functions for flexible adaptation to almost all applications.

“Thanks to its constant temperature or temperature difference control, the pump and the entire system can be operated particularly efficiently and safely. Another advantage is that the Wilo-Stratos MAXO can switch between heating and cooling mode and records heating and cooling quantities separately.

“Innovative energy-saving functions such as Multi-Flow Adaptation and No-Flow Stop allow the Wilo-Stratos MAXO to achieve a very good energy efficiency index of ≤ 0.19 to ≤ 0.17 and a high system efficiency. Multi-Flow Adaptation adapts the delivery rate of the feeder pump precisely to the requirements of the connected consumer circuit pumps. In addition, the Wilo-Stratos MAXO dynamically adjusts its output independently to the changing demands of the system without entering a set-point.”

By accessing Smart Connect via the Wilo-Assistant app, installers and facility managers can access further functions and settings of the Wilo-Stratos MAXO, read out, monitor and even control operating data in real time, says the company.

“And all this without having to visit the installation site,” says Wilo. “Integration into the remote access infrastructure takes place via an optionally available gateway and the standard Wilo Net interface.”

The Wilo-Stratos MAXO is available as a single and double pump, as well as the Wilo-Stratos MAXO-Z drinking water pump.
