SuperTest, the testing and validation arm of Gold Coast-based SuperCool Group, has been accredited by the globally recognised testing body NATA. SuperTest is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 as a test laboratory for ISO 23953-2 refrigerated display cabinet testing.
ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard that specifies requirements for quality and competence in testing and calibration laboratories. The standard requires that labs prioritise excellent quality practices and have a strong quality management system to establish and maintain their competence. The result for customers is globally recognised data and assurance that the laboratory has maintained consistency in processes, procedures, and project management, along with strict record-keeping and traceability.
Business Manager Rene Le Miere says the accreditation is important not only for ISO 23953-2 testing, but also for the other test processes at SuperTest that haven’t yet received accreditation.
“Our official scope of accreditation is to perform testing in accordance with ISO 23953-2 for integrated refrigerator display cabinets, specifically to provide determination aligning to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) 2020,” Le Miere says.
“This standard specifies requirements for the construction, characteristics and performance of integral refrigerated display cabinets. Whilst our other bespoke tests are not specifically accredited, the fact that SuperTest has achieved accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 gives weight to the overall legitimacy and professionalism of our facility – no matter what type of testing we carry out.”
SuperTest’s Head of Engineering, Amir Jahangiri, adds that whilst SuperTest has always taken a scientific approach, the accreditation provides an additional layer of assurance to customers thanks to global quality standards.
“This accreditation instils confidence in our customers by establishing a structured and dependable framework for the quality of our results when testing refrigerated display cabinets,” Jahangiri says.
“It ensures traceability, comparability, and validity in every part of the process. SuperTest’s NATA accreditation also holds international recognition, underscoring our capability to execute specific technical and scientific activities.”
This service joins SuperTest’s growing range of other testing services, including thermal testing, energy efficiency testing, equipment performance tests and validation of prototypes.
