ABB launches integrated motor drive solution
ABB has launched the LV Titanium, a plug-and-play variable speed motor platform designed to enhance energy efficiency.

ABB says the LV Titanium serves as a compact, drop-in alternative to traditional direct-online induction motors, making it a straightforward solution for achieving IE5 ultra-premium efficiency in applications such as pumps, compressors, and fans.
According to ABB, the LV Titanium’s drive module is optimised for use with high-efficiency permanent magnet motors.
The company says the LV Titanium is at least two frame sizes smaller than comparable induction motors, offering high power density in a compact design. With an axial drive at the end of the motor, the LV Titanium is also suited for vertical installation.
Currently available in smaller sizes from 1.5kW, the LV Titanium platform will expand to cover applications up to 30kW for a wide range of industrial sectors – from water treatment and chemical processing to food and beverage. In addition to being available off the shelf, the motor can be customised to suit specific customer requirements.
