Woolworths seeking refrigeration apprentices

Woolworths is looking for motivated individuals to join its next cohort of refrigeration apprentices in January 2023.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to install the latest refrigeration systems into Woolworths supermarket stores, or support the facilities management team with proactive and reactive maintenance services.

The facilities management division oversees energy management and maintenance of refrigeration, heating and cooling systems.

The installation team builds environmentally sustainable refrigeration systems incorporating leading-edge technological solutions to reach the company’s energy and environmental sustainability goals.

“Woolworths is committed to delivering on our 2025 sustainability targets, which includes reducing the environmental impact of how our stores operate,” says the company. “To do this we need more technicians to install and maintain this cutting-edge technology.

“We are committed to supporting the refrigeration industry to build greater diversity and inclusion for the ‘fridgies’ of tomorrow.

“To do this we are rolling out a multi-year plan to hire outstanding apprentices each year to fulfill these goals.”
