Seeking peer reviewers for cooling tower guide
AIRAH, with support from the ARBS Foundation, is updating its design application manual on cooling towers – DA17 – and is seeking peer reviewers.

The focus of the update is to promote the energy efficient application of evaporative cooling towers in the HVAC&R industry, including:
- Development of a set of industry-derived energy protocols for evaporative cooling towers
- Updating the existing resources on improving energy and water efficiency in cooling towers
- Updating to reflect the latest industry developments, including changes to regulations, risk assessment, tower technology and system management via the cloud
- Updating to reflect changes to AS/NZS 3666 standards.
A technical review has been completed, and AIRAH is now seeking stakeholders from different parts of the industry to participate in a peer review.
In particular, reviewers are sought from cooling tower manufacturers, water treatment companies, maintenance contractors, building owners, facility managers, and government.
