The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) has released its 2019 HVAC&R Search Compendium – a new hard-copy directory publicising Australia’s industry.
The Compendium follows on from AIRAH’s long-running Industry Directory. Its new iteration features a larger A4 format and a more graphical layout.
“This year’s deluxe Compendium format is a response to the people who asked for a premium print HVAC&R listing – a who’s who that reflects the size and importance of our industry,” says AIRAH president Ian Harwood, F.AIRAH.
The Compendium complements the HVAC&R Search online directory, which was launched in April last year. Companies listed on HVAC&R Search have the option of including video and other materials.
“What we were hearing from our stakeholders is that they wanted more functionality from our online marketplace,” says Harwood.
“Nowadays the computer, smartphone or tablet is often the first port of call for people searching for products, services and companies, so we needed an online directory to cater for that. In response, AIRAH developed HVAC&R Search, our definitive online directory of all things HVAC&R.
“So far we have seen more than 450 companies register, and the site has clocked up over 100,000 page views, which shows it is meeting a need.”
The HVAC&R Search Compendium is a free publication provided for the industry. It has been sent to around 10,000 AIRAH members and subscribers and will be available at the Institute’s conferences and Industry Nights throughout the year.
