NABERS is launching a new energy rating tool, NABERS Energy for Warehouses and Cold Stores.
The ratings tool was developed with input from organisations involved in the industrial and supply chain economy. NABERS consulted with providers, peak bodies and experienced consultants, gathering data from more than 150 facilities.
NABERS says its expansion into warehouses and cold stores is a great example of industry and government working together to ramp up their leadership on climate change and achieve more for the environment. The launch of the new ratings system will be marked with an online event, featuring a panel of speakers from the sector.
Speakers will share an overview and introduce the new energy rating tool, celebrating the tool’s release and welcoming new organisations into the NABERS community.
The session will conclude with a panel covering sustainability trends in warehouses and cold stores, discussing the benefits of a NABERS rating in these sectors.
Panel speakers include: Carlos Flores, Director of NABERS, Frankie Muskovic, National Policy Manager of the Property Council of Australia, Luke Menzel, Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Efficiency Council, and Lisa Hinde, National Director and Head of Sustainability at Colliers.
The event will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 2–3pm, online via Zoom. To register for the event, visit the event page here.
