Beijer Ref Academy has confirmed the dates for its expanded 2025 low-GWP and flammable refrigerants training roadshow, delivered in partnership with Superior Training Centre (RTO 41122 CRICOS Provider Number 03591C).
The roadshow kicks off in Victoria in February. The trainers will then move throughout the year to Queensland, NSW, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth, holding sessions in some regional areas as well. This will make the training an accessible option for technicians who want to upskill and become accredited in the safe handling, transportation and use of A2, A2L and A3 refrigerants.

The nationally recognised course is delivered over two days and covers three units of competency: UEERA0007 – Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for flammable refrigerants, UEERA0084 – Service and repair self-contained flammable refrigerants air conditioning and refrigeration systems and UEERA0048 – Install and commission flammable refrigerant air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Upon successful completion, technicians will be able to apply safe work practices in handling and using low-GWP refrigerant, follow workplace procedures for hazard identification and risk control of low-GWP refrigerant, and service, repair and report on low-GWP refrigeration systems.
Beijer Ref Marketing Manager Elizabeth Paparo, M.AIRAH, says the course meets a growing demand for training in environmentally friendly refrigerants.
“The ability to attend a mobile program is attractive to technicians, so we are eager to accommodate and provide the opportunity for many more technicians to take up the training and upskill themselves,” Paparo says.
The course proved popular with participants in 2024; one technican who completed the course said that they “found the course to be informative and interesting” and are now “definitely confident in working on systems with flammable refrigerants”.
