Woolworths will mark World Refrigeration Day on Wednesday, June 26 with a series of site visits to transcritical CO₂ refrigeration plant rooms around Australia.

The visits will allow participants to step into a state-of-the-art natural refrigerants plant room, meet industry professionals, and experience a day in the life of a refrigeration technician. Each session will run for approximately one hour.

Woolworths will run non-technical sessions (for school leavers) and technical sessions (for HVAC&R professionals). There will be a maximum of three sessions at each location subject to registration numbers.

The non-technical sessions aim to showcase what a career as an HVAC&R technician looks like and encourage more people to take up the trade. AIRAH, Bitzer, RMIT University, TAFE NSW, TAFESA, TAFE Victoria, TAFE Queensland, and World Refrigeration Day are supporting the site visits.

  • SA: Fulham Gardens
  • WA: Highgate
