Energy Smart Water has organised a Toolbox Techtalk about maximising solar PV self-consumption by diverting power to resistive loads for water heating, hydronic and electric in-floor heating.

“Join the Smart Energy Lab Live Techtalk this Sunday, September 20 at 4pm AEST (3.30pm ACST/2pm AWST) with the developers of this smart energy device, the AC•THOR Photovoltaic Power Manager,” says Energy Smart Water.

Glen Morris will talk with Norm Anderson of Energy Smart Water and Austrian-based Gerhard Rimpler of my-PV to find out more about this “European success story”, which can manage single-phase or three-phase loads and is designed to increase PV self-consumption instead of exporting power to the grid.  The product is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Morris, of the Smart Energy Lab, provides testing and field evaluation for products in the energy storage, renewable energy generation and smart energy management fields. He was formerly the Vice President of the Australian Solar Council for eight years and trainer for the Clean Energy Council.
