Standards Australia is inviting government and industry stakeholders to join a digital twin informational webinar on Monday, September 19. A digital twin is a virtual representation of an object or system that spans its life-cycle, is updated from real-time data, and uses simulation, machine learning and reasoning to help decision making.
Standards Australia says it has identified the potential of this technology to serve industry in many contexts. This includes everything from manufacturing and healthcare processes to the building and construction industry. A Digital Twin Working Group (DTw) has been established to develop and adopt relevant international standards.
Adam Beck, Head of Digital Urbanism at ENE.HUB and Chair of DTw, will present updates on current DTw standards projects. These include draft standards on digital twin concepts, terminology, reference architecture and use cases.
Beck will also moderate a panel session in which guests will share their journey in building digital twin capability and what they have encountered along the way.
“This is a must-attend event for anybody interested in contributing to digital twin standards development, learning more about the digital twin space, or wanting to connect with experts from industry or government,” says Standards Australia.
The webinar will be held from 3–4pm (AEST) on Monday, September 19, 2022.
