Speak at Refrigeration 2020

AIRAH is calling for speakers for its Refrigeration 2020 conference, to be held from March 23–24 in Melbourne.

Adding to the occasion’s importance, the conference will form part of the Institute’s 2020 centenary celebrations.

“Our milestone is a chance for us to celebrate bringing up the ton, to pay tribute to the big developments and important people over the past 100 years, and to look forward to the next 100 years,” says AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH. “Refrigeration 2020 will have all of the usual conversation and innovation, but with the extra dimension of AIRAH’s centenary.”

The conference will feature sessions reviewing the latest in legislation and technology; case studies on exciting projects; and discussion around the sector’s prospects, developments and efforts.

The conference committee is calling for speakers on an array of subjects, including but not limited to:

• Renewable energies and the refrigeration industry
• Energy efficiency and sustainability
• Energy efficiency of low-GWP, synthetic refrigerants
• Energy performance benchmarking
• Integration of air conditioning and refrigeration technologies
• The Australian and international HFC phase-down
• Future thinking – the path towards carbon neutrality by 2050
• Legislation/standards/licensing/training – in Australia and internationally
• Tertiary training in refrigeration and allied disciplines
• Environmental impacts of synthetic, low-GWP refrigerants

• Low-GWP, synthetic refrigerants

• Transcritical CO2 systems and the Australian climate

• Latest refrigeration research
• Suggestions for site visits, workshops or panel sessions.

AIRAH is offering guidance and assistance for presentations, and encourages subject matter experts to send proposals, even if they are not experienced speakers.
