Whether it is falling down, the economy or the commissioning of buildings, a soft landings would be preferred. With occupants at the centre of the building experience, their satisfaction drives many decisions.

FMA, Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and AIRAH are working together to bring the expert advice of Roderic Bunn, building performance researcher and author of the Soft Landings process, to Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

Roderic has a long track record in researching the performance of non-domestic buildings, from their energy and carbon dioxide emissions to measuring the wellbeing and satisfaction of occupants. Between 1995-2001 he led the ground-breaking PROBE building performance evaluation research project, aimed at investigating successful building performance. He has just completed a four-year Engineering Doctorate at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL) on occupant satisfaction metrics. He is a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Arts and a Silver Medallist of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

Roderic will provide a thought provoking discussion of his most recent research and the opportunity for a facilitated Q&A with attendees, followed by some time for an informal discussion over refreshments.
