As part of the STC Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs Apprentice program, Superior Training Centre is holding an employer and student meet-up event on World Refrigeration Day, June 26.
The goal is to highlight hidden trades such as refrigeration and air conditioning and metal fabrication, and also to promote more mainstream electrical trades.
RACCA, Beijer Ref and WELD Australia will participate on the day as well as 20 other employers ready to answer students’ questions. Short presentations across the day will highlight trades, and Bulldogs legend Sam Perrett will be there to speak about life after NRL and the value of trades training.
“Meet companies that are looking for apprentices and want to help train the next generation of tradies,” says STC.
“Listen to the speakers on getting into a trade apprenticeship. Getting trade qualified is the way to a secure future, so bring your resume and a ‘can-do’ spirit!”
Thanks to STC’s partnership with the Bulldogs NRL team and its community arm promoting VET trades courses, participants will have the chance to receive double passes to the Rabbitohs-Bulldogs game on Sunday, July 17.
The event will be held at Canterbury Leagues Club in Belmore, Sydney, from 11am–3pm. Attendees under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian as per club guidelines.
