PSO and EEC to host free workforce development sessions
The development sessions will take place in Melbourne at the All Energy Conference on Thursday, October 30.

Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) and the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) are combining to host hosting three free workforce development sessions at the All Energy conference. The conference will take place from October 29–30, 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The sessions will bring together industry experts from across the energy sector to explore the future of energy jobs, skills development, and training innovation.

All three sessions will take place on Thursday, October 30, the second day of the conference.
Session 1 – Digitalisation and AI in the energy sector: The future of jobs in energy
Date: October 30 Time: 11.10am–12.40pm (AEDT)
Discover how AI, automation, and digital technologies are reshaping energy careers. Learn from speakers about the urgent need to upskill in areas like data analytics, IoT, cybersecurity, and smart grid tech, and explore strategies for building a resilient, future-ready workforce.
Session 2 – Transforming talent: Upskilling and retraining for the energy workforce
Date: October 30 Time: 1.30pm–3pm (AEDT)
As the industry shifts toward clean energy and regional development, this session will explore how to attract and retain skilled workers. Hear insights on training access, strategic incentives, and the vital role of vocational education and training (VET) in scaling workforce capacity.
Session 3 – Industry-led training: Building the workforce through education excellence
Date: October 30 Time: 3.30pm–5pm (AEDT)
Explore practical, employer-driven training models that meet the evolving needs of the energy sector. From apprenticeships to on-the-job learning, our speakers will explore how businesses and education can collaborate to expand training opportunities, strengthen talent pipelines, and accelerate workforce development.
