Trade Victoria is holding the Global Discovery Exchange: Digital Construction in the United Kingdom from November 18–23.
The Exchange aims to help Victorian construction supply chain companies learn about the latest digital technologies. The delegation will visit cutting-edge manufacturing businesses and infrastructure projects in order to benchmark against global leading practice and experience new technologies.
The visits will also highlight the range of construction, manufacturing principles and technologies, and demonstrate how the adoption of new or improved technology and processes could benefit Victorian companies.
The Exchange will demonstrate how construction projects have supported their supply chains to adapt. It will highlight the lessons learned and where they have realised benefits.
The initiative is aimed at companies in the construction supply chain, particularly those working in major infrastructure projects that need to adapt to BIM (Building Information Modelling) and digital modelling of their products.
The Victorian Government will cover in-country ground transport and accommodation. International airfares and meals outside of official activities will not be covered.
Applications close on Wednesday, October 10.
