The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) has extended the abstract submission deadline for the IIR International Conference on Refrigeration: Adapting to Rising Temperatures until November 19, 2024. The conference will be held from August 11–13, 2025 in Manchester, UK.
The conference aims to address the issues facing the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) industry. As global temperatures continue to rise, organisers wish to explore the critical issues and promote innovation among professionals dedicated to developing sustainable, climate-resilient solutions.
The IIR invites abstracts that present case studies, innovations, research, and expert insights on the intersection of refrigeration technology and climate adaptation. The three key themes include:
- Managing risk
- Environmental and social governance
- The future landscape of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps.
Key dates
- November 19, 2024: Abstract submission deadline (extended)
- December 1, 2024: Abstract acceptance and manuscript submission instructions
- February 3, 2025: Manuscript submission deadline
- March 10, 2025: Notification of acceptance or rejection of manuscripts
- April 4, 2025: Closing date for authors’ revisions to manuscripts.
The conference is being organised by the International Refrigeration Committee of the UK Institute of Refrigeration (IOR), on behalf of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR).
The IOR is the UK professional body and membership association for people working in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps. The IIR is an intergovernmental body representing over 60 national governments and involving global experts through its commissions and informatory notes.
