Building Physics feels the Love

The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) has announced two keynotes for the 2019 Building Physics Forum: Honorary Consul Kim Lovegrove MSE RML FAIB and Duane Jonlin from the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections in the US.

The Building Physics Forum is being held in Melbourne at the Bayview Eden Melbourne from October 23–24.

“The forum will explore air movement, thermal performance and the control of moisture across building envelopes,” says AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson.

“We’re really excited to be bringing together experts from Australia and abroad to discuss and build knowledge on these topics.”

Lovegrove will be speaking about the key elements that define international best-practice building regulation. He founded Lovegrove & Cotton Construction Lawyers in 1993, and his offshore deployments over the past 20 years have often involved the provision of advice concerning international best practice in terms of building control holistics.

Jonlin’s keynote address will discuss the role that air barriers play in eliminating problems such as moisture damage, mould growth, and homebuyer comfort complaints. 

AIRAH’s Professional Development Manager, Brendan Pejkovic, says the forum program includes a real mix of expert speakers this year.
