AIRAH Awards 2024: Witts et al win WR Ahern Award

Simon Witts, M.AIRAH, and co-authors James Moyes and Broden Kay have been honoured at the 2024 AIRAH Awards, winning the prestigious WR Ahern Award for the best technical paper in Ecolibrium.

The paper, titled “Striking a balance: planning and implementation considerations for natural gas removal”, examines the challenges associated with removing natural gas from hospitals and transitioning to all-electric systems. It emphasises the unique energy requirements of hospitals and the need to prioritise patient care and safety over energy efficiency.
