AIRAH Awards 2024: Graphene wins with Thermal-XR

Queensland firm Graphene Manufacturing Group has won Product of the Year at the 2024 AIRAH Awards for its Thermal-XR coating system.

Thermal-XR is a unique method of improving the thermal conductivity of new and corroded heat exchange surfaces and increasing the performance of new and aged equipment. The process coats and protects heat exchange surfaces while improving and rebuilding the lost corroded thermal conductivity and increasing the heat transfer rate by leveraging the physics of GMG Graphene, resulting in an efficiency improvement and a power consumption reduction.

Thermal-XR can also protect both RTPF coils (round tube plate fin) and MCHC coils (microchannel) from accelerated corrosion damage, thereby extending the life of the coil and reducing energy consumption.

The coating system was also awarded Product Excellence Award at the 2024 ARBS Industry Awards in May.
