The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) will host its Canberra forum at The Shine Dome from 3–6pm (AEDT) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

The ABCB’s Board Chair, Glenys Beauchamp AO PSM, and CEO, Gary Rake, will attend the Canberra event to answer any questions about the organisation’s work.

The ABCB began its forum series August 2023 as part of its commitment to building and retaining the confidence of the people and organisations who have an interest in its work. These forums are an opportunity to understand more about the ABCB’s strategic direction and the way the organisation make decisions. Feedback helps shape the ABCB’s work program and the advice it prepares for government ministers.

The ABCB points out that, given the forum panel consists of the Chair and the CEO, it’s not the best opportunity to ask detailed questions about technical aspects of the National Construction Code. The organisation will those questions on notice or help connect attendees to the right person for an answer. More technical detail about the NCC is available via NCC Online.

The forum is free to attend and will be in-person only; there won’t be a live stream of the event. You can register via the ABCB website.
