2025 AIRAH National Awards: Louvreclad wins Excellence in Innovation – Best New Product
Louvreclad has been recognised for its Aerion Series of vertical performance louvres, an Australian-engineered product that sets a new benchmark in aerodynamic and weather performance for architectural façades.

Developed in collaboration with Formula 1 aerodynamic specialists, the Aerion Series was designed to deliver exceptional airflow performance while maintaining industry-leading protection against wind-driven rain. The result is a façade solution that combines advanced aerodynamic principles with practical, real-world building performance.
Constructed from lightweight, low-carbon extruded aluminium, the Aerion Series has been engineered and tested in Australia and certified to achieve maximum ventilation efficiency alongside 99–100% rain defence. This combination supports both building performance and sustainability outcomes without compromising durability or design intent.
The product’s performance has been independently validated through third-party testing at a trusted Australian facility. The testing rig, methodology, data and resulting certifications were quality assured and reviewed by chartered professional engineers, providing confidence in the system’s repeatability and real-world application.
Finalist: Cold Logic – ECU45DV dual-voltage environmental control unit
