Reliable Controls has released the MS/TP model of its RC-FLEXone BACnet Building Controller to expand the accessibility of its building automation solutions. Designed to provide control and monitoring of building environments, the RC-FLEXone is compatible with ethernet or BACnet MS/TP communications.

Reliable Controls says the RC-FLEXone is a programmable, single-controller solution designed to deliver performance and reliability. According to the company, the new MS/TP model will allow building owners and facility managers to extend the life of their existing BACnet MS/TP infrastructure while benefiting from the features of the RC-FLEX family of controllers.

The new controller offers:

  • BACnet MS/TP support: integrates into existing BACnet MS/TP networks, providing backward compatibility and increased deployment options
  • FLEX I/O technology: customisable inputs and outputs that support system scaling and design changes
  • Powerful programmability: customisable, allowing precise configuration to meet the needs of any building
  • Compact design: a space-efficient size that allows flexible installation in a range of applications
  • Reliable performance: backed by a five-year warranty.

“The new RC-FLEXone MS/TP controller brings even greater versatility to our product lineup,” says Rudolf Erasmus, Hardware Manager at Reliable Controls. “With models that support either ethernet or BACnet MS/TP communications, we’re enabling our customers to easily modernise their building automation systems while maximising their existing infrastructure.”

Reliable Controls says the RC-FLEXone MS/TP model is appropriate for a wide variety of equipment and room control applications, including retrofits and expansions, where adaptability and reliability are critical. The new model also includes a soft end-of-line switch that applies resistance across the end of the line in an MS/TP network to ensure good communication.
