Midea opens new Australian showroom

Air conditioner and home appliance manufacturer Midea has opened its first dedicated HVAC showroom and experience centre in Australia.

Located in Oakleigh in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs, the facility showcases products from Midea Building Technologies (MBT) – including commercial and trade HVAC systems – alongside consumer-focused products from Midea’s residential air conditioning portfolio.

Midea says the showroom has been designed as an experiential hub for local contractors, consultants, developers, partners and consumers. It includes products spanning from light commercial mini-VRF systems to large-scale multi-unit configurations, alongside R290 residential heat pumps, commercial water heating solutions, and magnetic-bearing centrifugal chillers.

The new display also features LINVOL elevators, data centre solutions, and commercial building solutions, which the company says addresses the full spectrum of commercial product demands in Australia.

The showroom’s dedicated residential space displays Midea’s residential air conditioning portfolio, which the company says is designed to enhance comfort and efficiency in Australian homes. This includes high wall split systems, multi-split configurations, portable options, and ducted and cassette solutions.

“Today represents much more than the opening of a new facility,” says Midea Australia and New Zealand General Manager Ivan Ma. “Opening our first dedicated HVAC showroom in Australia represents a long-term commitment to the market and to supporting local industry partners more closely. We see this as a foundation. It is a place where collaboration, learning and innovation can happen together, and is a foundation block for the continued growth of the Midea business in Australia.”

The showroom is located at 1513 Dandenong Road, Oakleigh, VIC 3166.
