Louvreclad launches podcast about façade performance
Louvreclad has launched Inside Out: The Louvreclad Podcast, which explores the future of façade design.

Australian louvre and façade specialist Louvreclad has announced the launch of its new podcast series: Inside Out. According to the company, the platform will bring architects, engineers, builders, and asset owners into candid conversations about how building exteriors are inspired, engineered, and implemented.
Expert insights
The monthly series will be hosted by Louvreclad’s Uddhava Sharplin and will feature interviews with industry leaders who shape Australia’s most distinctive projects. Each 30-minute episode blends expert perspectives with real-life case studies, giving listeners practical insights into design collaboration, compliance, sustainability, and performance.

The debut episode, Designing for Performance: The Future of Façades, features architect Marina Evangelista, founder of RINNA DESIGN and formerly of John McAslan + Partners. Drawing on her experience leading façade design coordination for Sydney Metro’s Waterloo Station, Evangelista shares lessons from integrating performance louvres into one of Sydney’s most complex infrastructure projects, and reflects on how design storytelling and technical requirements can work together.
“Façades are cultural contributions,” Evangelista says.
“Early collaboration with engineers and contractors turns what could be compromises into creative opportunities.”

Highlighting success
Louvreclad Marketing Manager Jedd Wright says one of the aims of the podcast is to highlight the excellent work in the sector that often goes unnoticed in other disciplines.
“Our industry is full of valuable lessons that rarely make it beyond the office walls,” Wright says. “Inside Out gives those stories an outlet, helping professionals learn from each other and encouraging earlier collaboration across disciplines.”
Future episodes will include perspectives from designers, builders, and asset owners on topics ranging from AI data centres to façade refurbishments and the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
