Fujitsu General refreshes smart home control system
Fujitsu General has enhanced its anywAiR ducted controller with new features designed to streamline smart home management.

Fujitsu General has released the next generation of its anywAiR ducted controller, now featuring optional garage door control and sensor functionality.
Fujitsu says the updated anywAiR controller integrates ducted air conditioning control with the ability to monitor and operate compatible garage doors via the anywAiR app. Notifications can alert users if the garage door has been left open, adding a layer of convenience and peace of mind.
“The updated controller brings new levels of integration and control to Australian homes; it enhances residential energy efficiency and usability while responding to the growing demand for centralised control systems.”
Kyle Rafter, General Manager of Product and Strategy at Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand
Users can manage the controller through a wall-mounted touchpad and Wi-Fi-enabled app, allowing them to create up to 12 programmable temperature and airflow scenarios. Active weather features can also trigger automatic heating or cooling based on local conditions. The system supports VAV and temperature-controlled zoning.
Other features include a sleep economiser mode that automatically shifts from cooling to fan mode overnight to reduce energy use, and an Android-based operating system that enables the touchscreen to run additional applications.
Compatible with panel garage doors, the new garage door controller can detect whether the door is open, closed or in motion. It can be powered directly or via the garage door motor’s DC output.
The enhanced anywAiR ducted controller with garage door functionality is now available as an optional add-on through Fujitsu General’s authorised dealer network.
Note: The garage door controller and sensor must be installed by a licensed Fujitsu installer and are compatible only with the new UTY-ANY2 ducted controller and panel garage doors.
