Ashraf Abdalla has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Smardt, succeeding Vince Canino.

The announcement was made by Jiang Li, Chairman of the TICA Group and Smardt’s Board of Directors, following TICA’s recent acquisition of 100 per cent ownership of Smardt.

“As we look forward to propelling Smardt upward to the next level and utilising improved business models for the group, I am pleased to announce Ashraf Abdalla as the new CEO of Smardt,” says Li. “Ashraf will head the transformation of Smardt, ensuring the achievement of our long-term goals, and will report directly to the board.”

Abdalla joined the Smardt Chiller Group in August 2020 as Global Chief Operating Officer. He previously served York International and Johnson Controls as Vice President of Chiller Solutions Global Line of Business, Vice President and General Manager of the Middle East and Africa region, and Vice President and General Manager of the Global Applied Commercial Business Unit.

Vince Canino will lead a new business unit within Smardt that will accelerate the introduction of TICA’s products and develop new business models for green solutions for the North American market.
