ARBS has been rescheduled to be held from February 15–17, 2021. The event was originally planned for May 19-21, 2020, but had been postponed due to the coronavirus.

The exhibition will remain in the same venue at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

According to ARBS Exhibition Organiser Sue Falcke, it will occupy the same space and use the same floor plan and itinerary as previously proposed for ARBS 2020. The only difference, she says, is that the tenancy has been brought forward by one day – with open days from Monday to Wednesday. Exhibitor information and manuals will be updated to reflect the change.

“ARBS Exhibitions has been working with both the Melbourne and Sydney venues in order to obtain the best available options for our exhibition moving forward,” Falcke says.

“Given that current predictions determine the virus situation could continue for up to six months and maybe even longer, we have focused our efforts on moving the exhibition into 2021 when we feel it will be most appropriate and safest to reschedule.”

Exhibitors who have booked and paid for their stands, she says, will continue to occupy the same allocated space as is currently held without any further penalties.

“ARBS will absorb any price increases and penalties applied by the venue, our suppliers and contractors for moving the event into a new year,” she says.

Falcke also announced that an extended digital platform would soon be made available on the ARBS 2020 website. She says the platform will allow exhibitors to add comprehensive product information, pictures and video material to provide a more in-depth connection between exhibitors and their customers.

Managing Director of ebm-papst ANZ, AREMA Director and ARBS Director/Secretary Simon Bradwell, also weighed in on the announcement. “At the end of this crisis I know we will absolutely need to be at ARBS to reassure our customers and our suppliers,” he says, “and to give ourselves the best opportunity to rebuild for a stronger more resilient industry for the future”.

ARBS is an event for Australia’s HVAC&R and building services professionals.
