Building Physics Forum goes digital

The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) has confirmed that the 2020 iteration of the Building Physics Forum will be streamed virtually on Thursday, September 17.

The live stream will run from 10.30am–4pm (AEST), 10am–3.30pm (ACST) and 8.30am–2pm (AWST).

The event was originally slated to take place in Brisbane from September 16–17, but plans had to change due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Forum will bring together leading industry experts, offering the opportunity to connect with peers and learn about where the science of building physics is headed. It will feature live-streamed presentations, case studies and technical workshops.

AIRAH Chief Executive Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH, believes the study of building physics allows HVAC&R professionals to create a positive ecological impact; by studying and applying principals of air, heat, moisture and light interacting with a building in order to create a better environment.

“AIRAH’s Building Physics Forum will give you the opportunity to explore this field and better understand the interconnection with building codes and practices, and to truly make an impact on the performance of building design – and ultimately a better world for all,” he says.
