Clean energy leaders from around the world are slated to gather at the Global Clean Energy Action Forum (Global Energy Forum) in Pittsburgh over September 21–23.
To be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the conference aims to bring climate professionals together to accelerate the clean energy transition while responding to global energy security needs.
“The Global Clean Energy Action Forum (GCEAF) comes at a pivotal time,” say the conference organisers. “We are on the cusp of the most important energy transition that society has ever seen, and we must look back at 2022 as the year the world took giant steps to build a new energy economy that improves energy security, tackles climate change, and reaps the rewards of a clean energy market that will exceed US$23 trillion by the end of this decade – for the benefit of everyone.”
Scheduled to take place directly following the UN General Assembly, the Global Energy Forum will convene governments representing most of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions and 90 per cent of public investment in clean energy, international organisations, clean energy financiers, industry leaders, unions, non-governmental organisations, young professionals and tech innovators.
The Global Energy Forum will include the joint convening of the Clean Energy Ministerial and Mission Innovation Ministerial and the launch of the Creating the Energy Future Forum.
Events will also include a Clean Energy Business Forum, a Technology Showcase featuring the latest in clean energy tech, and more than 90 public side events.
Attendance is free of charge.
