Unico releases small-duct HVAC solution

American ducted heating and cooling brand Unico has released its Unico System small-duct central HVAC solution into the Australian market.

According to the company, the Unico System only requires about one-third of the space of traditional ducted air systems and does not compromise on heating, cooling, or ventilation requirements. Its 50mm inner diameter sound-attenuated and flexible tubing can be designed to fit into smaller residential and commercial spaces, and it operates virtually silently.

The system conditions the air using compact modular air handling equipment that integrates with MVHR and ERV systems, providing ventilation to all corners of the lived space. It can use refrigerant coils, hydronic coils, or a combination of the two to provide cooling and heating. The system also comes with optional filters up to MERV 13 hospital grade and optional UV sanitisation.

Unico staff members will be at booth 903/904 during ARBS 2024 to explain and demonstrate the system.
