Testo launches 316 series of leak detectors

Testo has launched the 316 series of leak detectors, which the firm says incorporates “an absolute world first”.

Key to this claim is the two-in-one sensor in the Testo 316-EX-2, for combined gas and refrigerant detection.

“Additional time savings are provided by the sensor’s self-test and automatic zeroing,” says Testo, “as well as the PPM display and documentation via the connected Testo App.

“Leaks can also be detected particularly reliably in fine mode using the expert functions, with the most common gas types being identified automatically.”

The Testo 316i is equipped with a simple traffic light LED on the head as well as a bar scale and is suitable for ruling out or locating leaks on gas fittings. Both PPM values and %LEL (lower explosion limit) can be retrieved and documented via the Testo App.

Also in the range is the Testo 316-1, which has been designed with a focus on intuitive operation.

“Identifying and locating leaks or even reading off concentration values in PPM or %LEL are all exceptionally easy,” says Testo. “The intuitive traffic light scale on the head as well as the display illumination allows a quick reference on leaks while the test is being performed.”

All instruments in the new series are equipped with multiple LEDs, and visual as well as audible alarms, designed to guarantee maximum safety.
