Hussmann launches 20HP transcritical CO2 condensing units in Australia

Hussmann Australia has announced the introduction of a new 20HP CO₂ (R744) outdoor condensing unit designed for supermarkets and industrial cooling processes. The new 20HP unit adds to Hussmann’s existing line of 2HP, 4HP, and 10HP CO₂ outdoor systems.

Hussmann’s says its CO₂ units connect with an “unlimited number of evaporators or display cases”, can operate at temperatures ranging from −45°C to −5°C, and work with ambient temperatures from −20°C to 45°C. They are designed for applications including chilled and low-temperature display cases, walk-in cold rooms, freezers, and blast chillers.

Hussmann says the 20HP condensing unit features an extended pipe run and operates quietly during nighttime mode. The company says it released the 20HP model after feedback from clients showed that this was the most sought-after size.
