Fujitsu General has announced it is recommitting as co-major partner with AFL club Essendon Bombers for another four years. This extension will take the partnership to 12 consecutive years.
Fujitsu General says the partnership, which began in 2014, is based on “common organisational values and mutual respect”, and is an example of the company’s willingness to provide ongoing support to Australian sport and community activity.
“Essendon Football Club strives to make its people proud, by being the most respected, successful and inclusive sporting club in Australia,” says Fujitsu General. “This vision aligns perfectly with Fujitsu General Australia, and is epitomised in Fujitsu General’s support of Essendon Football Club’s numerous community, grassroots and female programs.”
The renewed contract will see the company name remain on the club’s playing guernsey as a co-major partner for the 2022–2025 AFL playing seasons.
“Fujitsu General is extremely proud to announce its ongoing commitment to the club as co-major partner for another four years,” says Managing Director Philip Perham.
“Fujitsu General is a business that seeks out and commits to likeminded partners. The partnership with Essendon also enables Fujitsu General to reach a broader network as part of its commitment to making sport accessible to many through grassroots programs, and the club’s diverse and inclusive community initiatives.
“We are also very excited for Essendon’s VFLW team following confirmation of the licence to be part of the AFLW competition in 2022.
“The partnership with Essendon has been very successful and enables Fujitsu to reach the club’s extensive 81,000 strong membership base to help with brand awareness and unique content creation.
“On behalf of the entire Fujitsu General network, I want to congratulate Essendon’s management team, support staff and players for its success during this challenging year and wish them all the best for the finals and beyond,” says Perham.
Essendon Football Club’s CEO, Xavier Campbell, has also applauded the renewed contract
“On the eve of our 150th anniversary year,” says Campbell, “and with the inception of our historic AFLW team in 2022, as well as the direction of our AFL program, we enter the next four years with much optimism knowing we boast a terrific alignment with a wonderful organisation like Fujitsu General Australia.”
