Daikin has announced the release of additional models to its R32 series of Premium Ducted and Inverter Ducted air conditioning systems.

Newly added to the R32 Premium series is an 8.5kW model, expanding the company’s single-phase range of 7.1kW to 16.0kW models.

Latest inclusions to the R32 Inverter series are 5.0kW, 6.0kW and 8.5kW models, which expand the single-phase range from 5.0kW to 16.0kW. The three phase models now start from 7.1kW to 16.0kW.

Both series feature compact indoor unit heights of 400mm(h) for 140-160 Class Premium models and 300mm(h) for 50-100 Class Inverter models, which the company says is ideal for R22 Retrofit applications and tight ceiling spaces.

The new R32 Premium Inverter and R32 Inverter Series Indoor Units are manufactured in Australia.

“The R32 ranges are the result of the ongoing development of our local R&D and our local manufacturing team,” says Manufacturing Manager of Daikin Australia, Nicholas Macdonald.

“Drawing on the strength of our global business, we are very proud to expand our Australian-made offering with products incorporating lower-GWP refrigerant and Australian-specific design.”

Since 2015, Daikin Industries Ltd has provided worldwide free access to 93 patents that aim to support air conditioning manufacturers transition to using R32 refrigerant. Compared to the commonly used R410A, R32 has a 66 per cent lower GWP.
