Carel plans eastern expansion

Carel has announced the expansion of its Labin site in Croatia, currently the headquarters of the Padua-based Group’s Carel Adriatic subsidiary.

The new 5,200m² plant, expected to be completed by the beginning of next year, has been planned to make the Group’s production capacity more flexible and resilient, and better support Carel’s growth in Europe, particularly eastern Europe.

When the plant is fully operational, the Group expects to hire up to 100 new employees, in addition to the more than 200 who already work at the Labin site.

The new plant will also host a showroom. Customers will be able to visit the factory, see the production process – mainly focused on humidifiers and electrical panels – and the product range.

The presentation of the new Carel Adriatic project was attended by Pietro Rossato, Carel Group COO and Chairman of the Carel Adriatic Board of Directors, Raffaele Rossi, Operations Director CHR, and Valter Glavičić, Mayor of the city of Labin.
